Hello! My name is Kate. I do K-5 Manhattan Beach tutor lessons as well as Torrance and Redondo Beach tutor lessons for grade and middle school. I have been a California credentialed teacher for five years and tutor in the South Bay after school most week days. I will also be doing K-5 tutor lessons in PLaya Vista and Santa Monica and surrounding West Los Angeles cities for the rest of the 2023 school year and beyond.

I live in Redondo Beach and teach in El Segundo, so am available for in home tutoring in these cities and in Manhattan Beach and parts of north Torrance. I love working with special needs students as well so if your student deals with ADHD or ADD, as well as mild to moderate autism I can definitely help.

My particular strength as a tutor lies in my ability to break concepts down into smaller pieces and explain them using multiple means and methods, and to find what works for each individual student. I bring a fun and humorous personality to each lesson as well. I know better than most that grade and middle school students really do not like doing school work. WIth a bit of humor and a light attitude the hour can go by much quicker and much more can be learned with a change of heart.
