Lauren is a math and sceince tutor that lives in Long Beach. She does in-home lessons in this city and in the South Bay cities of Palos Verdes, Torrance, Redondo and Manhattan Beach, and cities in between such as San Pedro and Carson.

Lauren received her B.S. in molecular biology, with two minor degrees in general chemistry and mathematics, from CSU Long Beach in 2017. She currently attends UCLA Extension as a pre-medical post-baccalaureate student. As a student pursuing a career in medicine, Lauren has a strong passion for helping others and for education.

She began tutoring calculus at her local community college as a senior in high school, and has been tutoring math and chemistry in the Long Beach and Torrance & Redondo Beach areas ever since. As someone who has both independently tutored peers and professionally tutored students of all ages for approximately six years, she is exceptionally approachable and has guided many high school and college students through the stressors brought on by the educational system.

Along with her Long Beach and Palos Verdes tutor experience, Lauren has several years of experience working as a biomedical laboratory researcher at CSULB and UCLA. While speaking at several nationwide neuroscience conventions, she was able to further develop her ability to explain complex topics in ways that can be more easily understood for all audiences.
